Our Parging Work
Parging is the application of a mortar-based coating to the exterior of your foundation walls. It protects the concrete or block from moisture infiltration, freeze-thaw damage, and deterioration-and gives your home's foundation a clean, finished appearance.
In Northern Ontario, foundations take a beating from years of frost cycles, water infiltration, and settling. Cracked or spalling parging isn't just an eyesore-it's an open door for water and insects to enter your foundation. Northstead repairs damaged sections properly before re-applying a full coat, so you're not just covering up the problem.
If water is pooling next to your house, we can combine parging work with re-grading to ensure water sheds away from your foundation entirely. Addressing the source of the problem at the same time as the cosmetic fix is always the right call.
