Our Grading Work
If water is pooling next to your house from decades of settling, it's time to have Northstead come and re-grade your property. We strip or mulch your existing lawn and get that water running away from your home. We can create new swales to collect water and route it out to the street or the ditch.
If you require an exterior french drain or sump pit, we can auger a hole 33" in diameter and 10" deep. If you have a ditch running through your driveway and the water is not flowing, we can replace the culvert and repair your driveway. For private roads through soft or swampy ground, we've used the "Corduroy road" construction method - placing logs perpendicular to the road direction over swampy areas, coupled with geotextile fabric and new aggregates.
